This is a new ballpark idea for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They are going to eventually move out of the dome they are in, in spite of its relatively recent construction. It just hasn't worked well for them. I have two diagrams here. I know the Rays don't have lots of money right now, so the top diagram is of a new 31,000 seat stadium that could be build relatively inexpensively. It has one large single deck grandstand split into a lower 10,000 seat bowl and and upper 13,500 seat bowl that goes into left center field. There would be a club/luxury level above that with 40 suites and 2,500 club seats. The grey seating in the outfield would be 5,000 bleachers. The blue area above the right field corner stands would be a big restaurant club. I think 31,000 seats would be a good start for the Rays. They are pretty much starting from scratch trying to build a fan base again.
However, the park should be build to accomodate an upper deck over top of the club/luxury level should it be needed, and that is depicted in the second diagram. This upper deck would hold 10,000, bringing the whole ballpark to 41,000. The upper level would be slightly tapered, getting smaller into foul territory, which would make it look a little different.
