It has been reported in several papers today that both Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in signing out of favour Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva. Gilberto has been kept out of the Arsenal team this season by an in-form Matthieu Flamini.Gilberto, 31, has also been linked with a move to several Italian clubs including Inter Milan and Juventus. Gilberto has always indicated he wants to stay at the Emirates but some feel it is only matter of time that he gets fed up at the current situation.
Gilberto was one of Arsenal's players of the season last year and it has been a real shame to of seen so little of him this season. I really hope Gilberto leaves the Gunners in January because I for one want to see more of the Brazilian player (hopefully in the Premier League!).
