Jonny Evans has this afternoon been bailed after questioning over a rape incident in Manchester city centre.The alleged incident happened on Monday night during the Man United player's Christmas party and Evans was arrested on Tuesday evening after going to a police station.
He has been bailed until February 23rd. Evans is a full Northern Irish international and has made eight appearances for the United first team.
On Tuesday night, a GMP spokesman said: "A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape this evening after presenting himself to police."He remains in custody for questioning."
