Kevin Keegan is supposedly targeting West Ham striker Dean Ashton according to reports in the Daily Telegraph today.Ashton is just one of a whole list of names being linked with the Toon Army since King Kev's arrival last week. Rather surprisingly, Ashton has been left out of The Hammers side on a few occasions this season even when fit, which has led to the former Norwich man being linked with a move away from the club.
It is thought that Newcastle are going to launch an initial bid of around £7 million, which West Ham are unlikely to accept. So Newcastle may have to splash out up to £9 million for the 24 year old.
