I'm a big college hockey fan, particularly of Michigan State. Somehow Notre Dame, perennial CCHA doormat, has become the #2 ranked team nationally. Michigan State in in the unfamilar position of looking up at them in the standings. Good for them, they've been bad for a long time before this.Anyway, they've got a silly looking hockey rink. It's little more than a sheet of ice with some temporary bleachers set up around it; now they deserve better. So here it is; a plan for for a better rink for a better team. This arena would have a total capacity of 4,525, with 2,900 seats in 12 rows around the lower bowl, 1,350 seats in an upper bleacher section along the East side of the rink. 8 suites and a press box would be in an upper level on the West side of the rink. There would be some standing room for overflow on the North end of the rink.
