Bolton are lining up former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse to replace Nicolas Anelka who looks almost certain to join Chelsea during the transfer window.Bolton boss Gary Megson today left Anelka out of the sides 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield United today and that has fuelled speculation that he is indeed going to Chelsea.
This exclusion has led people to believe that the club have been in contact with Chelsea and did not want to make him cup tied.
Megson has apparently lined up Cisse to replace Anelka and in my view that's not a bad move. I admit he probably won't be as good as Anelka but they could do a lot worse than Djibril.
Cisse, 26, is currently under contract at Marseille but he is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League and Bolton looks the most likely option now.
